In the spirit of generosity and holiday cheer, the Hill has embraced the true meaning of Christmas through its Angel Tree program. This initiative, which has become a new tradition, aims to bring joy to children who may not otherwise experience the magic of the season.
Student Counselor Alison Rizzuti, known for her commitment to student well-being has orchestrated the Angel Tree program with meticulous care, ensuring its seamless integration into the school community. The tree is adorned with cards bearing wishes to deserving children. Students and staff have embraced the opportunity to contribute to this act of kindness
“I believe in the power of community and empathy,” Rizzuti said. “The Angel tree allows us to come together as a community, supporting one another and making a positive impact on the lives of those who may need it most during the holiday season.”
As the new addition to Cavs Care, Angel Tree is a way to give gifts and needs to deserving children. Students have eagerly selected cards, each representing a child’s wish, ranging from toys and clothing to essential items. The collective effort showcases the unity and compassion that defines our school.
Rizzuti has not only directed the logistics of the program but has also used it as an opportunity to instill valuable lessons about empathy and giving back. Through discussions and educational initiatives, she has encouraged students to reflect on the true meaning of the season and the positive impact of their contributions. The program, which ended on Dec. 13, made a meaningful difference in the lives of Cavalier families this holiday season.
