Clover Hill senior Gray Reed, is an aspiring actor.
His inspiration for acting is Harrison Ford, who played the character Han Solo in the Star Wars movies. Reed went to a bunch of theatrical summer camps up to middle school, which is where he had his first play, “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon,” where they all had to social distance. Even with the distance he felt he connected to a bunch of amazing people during that time.
“I have kind of constantly pushed and tested and it’s been a lot of fun” Reed said.
Reed shares that his biggest supporters are his parents.
“As annoying as it is, but they are there at every single show,” Reed said.
Ever since then he has been in a number of productions such as, “A Christmas Carol,” “Chicago”, “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Rumpelstiltskin.” His most recent being “Chicago,” a musical that Theater on the Hill recently put on.
“That was such a fun musical to be a part of,” Reed said.
After all his hard work he got accepted into George Mason University in Northern Virginia and will be attending the School Of Theatre for a Bachelor in Fine Arts.
Following his dreams, Reed encourages everyone to take the first steps to reaching their own.
“If there is something you really want to do, and if you are scared, you just have to take that first step. It’ll get you to so many places,” Reed said.
