Clover Hill High School bids farewell to one of its most influential seniors, Amy Asubonteng, as she prepares to graduate and embark on the next step of her life. Asubonteng’s remarkable contributions to the school community, including her involvement in the storytelling club and her dedication to the school’s band, have left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of her peers.
Her passion for storytelling and her desire to create a platform where students could express themselves led her to establish the Clover Hill High School Storytelling Club. Under her leadership, the club became a haven for creativity and self-expression. Asubonteng organized weekly meetings where members had the opportunity to share their stories, poems, and personal experiences. “The club was mainly made for people to share their creativity through their stories,” Asubonteng said. “ A space where we all share that passion and share it with each other” she said. Through her guidance, the club fostered a sense of unity and provided a safe space for students to find their voice.
Her involvement didn’t end there. She also dedicated her time to the school’s band, where she showcased her talent as a Baritone player. Her commitment to the arts and her love for music were evident in her performances, which never failed to captivate audiences. Asubonteng’s hard work and dedication earned her a reputation as an exceptional musician within the school community.
In addition to her role as a Baritone player, she also contributed her skills to the school’s marching band. Embracing the challenge of learning complex routines and tirelessly practicing alongside her fellow band members. The unwavering dedication and enthusiasm were instrumental in helping the marching band achieve new heights.
Reflecting on her journey at Clover Hill High School, Asubonteng expressed her gratitude for the opportunities she had been given. “Clover Hill has provided me with a platform to pursue my passions and overall great opportunities here to discover.” Asubonteng said. “I am thankful for the support and encouragement I received from my teachers, friends, and fellow band members.”
