Theater on the Hill performed Six: Teen Edition from December 12th to 14th.
The musical tells the story of the lives of Henry VIII’s six wives told through catchy pop songs.
The actresses and actors did absolutely amazing with this musical. Catherine of Aragon was played by Clara Heath, Anne Boleyn was played by Sophia Sneed, Jane Seymour was played by Margot Dodd, Anne of Cleves was played by Kai Finnegan, Katherine Howard was played by Gena Gradillas, and Catherine Parr was played by Julia Herald.
The musical was absolutely amazing, all the queens absolutely killed it! All of the songs were phenomenal and they executed the tone of the song amazingly. Even when some of the queens were singing backup, you could still tell that they were passionate about the production.
Dodd and Sneed enjoyed the process of rehearsing with a small cast.
“It made the rehearsal process a lot easier to get like nit-picky with things and easily perfect stuff,” Dodd said.
“You really get to know people quickly like I didn’t know like 99% of the people in the cast before starting, but now that we’ve gone through this rapid fire process like staying after school for hours like every single day working together just like really bonds you,” Sneed said.
While watching them rehearse before opening night, you could tell all of the crew had an amazing bond together and that translated amazingly while acting. Everyone wasn’t afraid to be funny and open with each other.
