Mu Alpha Theta celebrated Pi Day in spirit with many festivities on Friday, Mar. 14th. They hosted a fun afternoon with a pie eating competition, pi digit reciting competition, complex math problems, and fresh pie. Mu Alpha Theta is Clover Hill’s Math Honor Society, and has monthly meetings where they attempt challenging math problems and other math related activities that they do together.
Pi is a constant in math that represents the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, and it is celebrated every year on Mar. 14th, (3/14). It is celebrated on that day because the first three digits of pi are 3.14.

Hello, I’m Kavari Johnson, 11th grader
I’ve read your article about Pi day and which I ‘ve never hear of
and my favorite thing about your article. is
that the Students had actually pies.
I mean with the joke with the math symbol called ”Pi”
the Students had ate pies and I think that’s clever of how they think of that
because when I think of Pi. in Math I think of 3.14
it’s more easier to remember of those numbers.
so Miss Marshall, I just want to say that you did a good job writing this article yourself and I hope you have been enjoying yourself. I have a few questions – What kind of Pies did you have? Two. Who made the Pies?
Three. What store did you get the pies from?
so that’s all I have a to say.
Have a Good Day, Ms Marshall and good Job!
Sincerley, Kavari
