Varn-Holmes has made many good memories at Clover Hill, but she reflects on particular moments as her favorites.
“Since this year was my last homecoming and prom, it added more sentimental value, and I’m always going to remember the whole experience,” Varn-Holmes said. “Dancing and singing with my friends and seeing everyone around me having fun was such a memorable time.”
While looking back on memories, Varn-Holmes also recalls her senior year overall.
“Senior year was filled with ups and downs, but I knew I was going to have a great year overall,” Varn-Holmes said. “It was probably one of the best years of high school.”
Throughout her senior year, Varn-Holmes realized the phenomenon that in your high school years, time goes by very quickly.
“[Senior year] went by super fast, so I made sure to treasure every moment and take everything as a learning experience,” Varn-Holmes said. “Each month only felt like a couple days.”
Varn-Holmes shares her best advice to the underclassmen of Clover Hill High School.
“Always prioritize yourself over anyone else, and never feel embarrassed to make decisions for yourself,” Varn-Holmes said.
After graduating, Varn-Holmes will continue her education next year at Virginia Tech. Specifically, she is joining the Architecture and Design program.
