Clover Hill senior Matthew Wang gives his final sign-off to the Cavaliers after serving as SCA president at the school. He leaves with fond memories and a new surge of learning.
Wang started his last year at Clover Hill High School with the production of the ASL club. One of his most important roles at Clover Hill was being SCA president of 2024-2025. He also learned valuable lessons that he will carry on into his life after high school.
“Having a position in the student council itself gave me experience in management that I have not previously encountered. I can confidently say that the responsibilities that came with such a position has prepared me for any endeavor in my future career path,” Wang said.
Wang’s interest in economics and business were sparked by his teachers that showed and reassured him of his aspirations for his career after high school.
“AP Economics was certainly the class that sparked my first interest in economics. Classes taught by Mr. Berneche in the business field only reaffirmed my aspirations,” Wang said.
After High School, Wang sees himself studying economics and pursuing an entrepreneurship degree at Brown University. He plans to start a business and create non-profit initiatives.

“I will be studying economics and entrepreneurship at Brown University. I hope not only to start my own business in a few years, but to also create nonprofit initiatives in providence,” Wang said.
Clover Hill has played a strong role in Wang’s development as he sees himself coming back to the school.
“I think I will most definitely see myself revisiting Clover Hill, these four years have played a major part in my development and I will always fondly look back at my time here,” Wang said.
As Wang gives the school his final goodbye he appreciates the lessons and encouragement given by his teachers and staff members at Clover Hill as he strides to greater heights at Brown University.
