Spooky costumes haunted the halls as Cavaliers celebrated Halloween.

On Oct. 31, students and staff celebrated Halloween by dressing up in costumes as the holiday spirit took over the Hill.

Some students chose to dress up in spooky costumes, such as junior Angelica Wang, who dressed up as a ghost. Other costumes in this category included Ghostface, the killer from the “Scream” franchise, a vampire and a witch.

Others decided to go the classic route, dressing up as pirates and superheroes and wearing sports jerseys. Some examples are senior Carter Fischer, who dressed up as a fisherman, and senior Charlie Elliot, who donned an Indiana Jones costume.

The costumes were not limited to the classics, however; students dressed up in costumes that ranged from an inflatable Patrick Star to a banana. Other examples are Senior Ramon Machado as a milkman and junior Mary Anneke Van Eerden as Vector from Despicable Me.

Many teachers dressed up as well; math teacher Shannon Harvey dressed up as Waluigi from the Mario franchise and Hailey and Brianna Ferguson went as Shark Boy and Lava Girl.
