The 47th President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has officially been sworn into office as of Jan. 20th, 2025.
The induction lasted 12 hours, with speeches from Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Rev. Franklin Graham, Supreme Court Justice John Roberts, Pastor Lorenzo Sewell, and a several others to top it off.
Many Americans were puzzled regarding what Donald Trump’s plans were, and although Trump claims to have concepts of some in an earlier debate with presidential competitor, Kamala Harris, he has now specified his intentions.
“The inflation crisis was caused by massive overspending and escalating energy prices and that is why today I will also declare a national energy emergency. We will drill, baby, drill,” Trump said.
This is just one example of his many ideals for America’s near future, at least economically.
When it comes to the topic of immigration, President Trump has plans to completely overhaul the process.
“All illegal entry will immediately be halted,” said Trump. “We will begin the process of returning millions and millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came.”
While these responses are each what the public would expect, Trump’s take on gender rights were, although expected once again, rather controversial.
The newly inducted president pledged in his speech to make it an official U.S. policy that there are but two genders – “male and female”.
While many of these objectives were quite problematic, there were two that caused the most public disturbance. The Panama Canal Treaty of 1977 and the subject of the U.S. Military.
It is believed that the U.S. has taken offense to the fact that a bridge has begun construction on a bridge across the Panama Canal. This has been deemed as a violation of the 1977 Treaty.
Some other topics included in Trump’s speech include the name change of the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America,” the unity of the states, further space exploration, specific to the planet of Mars, and a reiteration of the previous attempt to take his life.
While the inauguration of Donald Trump was less than two months ago, he has already set his plan into motion, signing over 70 executive orders.
These executive orders consist of a multitude of energy, immigration, government administration, foreign policy, and social related issues.
Based on these findings, it is safe to say there will be some major changes in the U.S administration. As for whether or not they are for the best, everyone will have to wait and see.
