Every year, music listeners receive their streaming data from the year as a whole through the phenomenon that is Spotify Wrapped. Some popular choices released in 2025 include Alex Warren’s “Ordinary,” HUNTR/X and KPop Demon Hunters’ “Golden,” Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia,” and many more. The top global artist was Bad Bunny and the top song was Die With a Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.
2025 had many highs for the music industry, including Kendrick Lamar doing the Super Bowl halftime show, Taylor Swift releasing her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl” on a podcast, KPop Demon Hunters being obsessed over by kids, and Alex Warren releasing the chart-topper, “Ordinary.” Many songs released in 2024 experienced more popularity, as in, more streams than when they were first released, such as Rose and Bruno Mars’ “APT,” Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club,” and Lady Gaga’s “Die With A Smile.”

- Alex Warren became famous in 2020 on TikTok and he has since started making music. His smash hit, “Ordinary,” became the most-streamed song on Spotify in 2025.
- Taylor Swift announced her new album “The Life of a Showgirl” on her fiance’s podcast, and it dropped in Oct. 2025. The album’s lead single, “The Fate of Ophelia,” broke multiple records upon its release.
- KPop Demon Hunters released on Netflix in the summer of 2025 and quickly became the platform’s most-played movie. “Golden,” the singers’ main anthem, spent eight straight weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
- Sabrina Carpenter dropped her new single “Manchild” which came out in June 2025, with the subsequent album “Man’s Best Friend” coming out on Aug. 29, 2025. Both “Manchild” and “Tears” (the second single off the album) have enjoyed being in the top few songs for months.
- Kendrick Lamar headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show, singing hits like “Not Like Us” and “TV off.”
- Chappell Roan released her long-anticipated single, “The Subway” as “Pink Pony Club” surged in acclaim and number of plays.
