Teachers decorate doors for Black History Month celebration

This February, Clover Hill hosted a door decorating contest in honor of Black History Month to show appreciation for Black icons from the past or modern day.

The contest allowed students to work with their teachers to show their creativity and appreciation for important Black figures who have paved the way for people everywhere.

The deadline for this contest was Feb. 28, with prizes including a pizza party, donuts, and class supplies. Finalists included science teachers Erika Hackworth and Kathy Coats, and art teacher Rachael Principe, with Coats ultimately taking first place.
