As we enter the end of the 2026 school year, senior Bryce Powers says his farewell to Clover Hill High School, leaving behind a diverse range of accomplishments.
Powers has been playing varsity lacrosse for three seasons, and is leaving the sport with a career faceoff percentage of above 40%. Not only did he serve as a valuable addition to the team, but he proved effective leadership during his time on it. In Powers’ senior year, he became the offensive captain and led the team in a better direction from previous years.
“My biggest accomplishment was being selected as a captain of the lacrosse team. Being able to lead a program that was at a very low point when I first joined is something that will forever stick with me. I hope my time as a captain will help put the program in the right direction for the future,” Powers said.
Apart from playing lacrosse, Powers had found a passion for fashion during his junior year of class with English teacher, William Kaskay. This class helped Powers find his love for writing, along with his interest in studying fashion. Powers’ dedication to studying fashion and dressing his best showed through when he won the Best Dressed senior superlatives.
Besides lacrosse and fashion, he was an all-collegiate in his sophomore year. Powers was also the social media manager for the Film Club in his junior year. During his senior year, one of his biggest accomplishments was winning Prom King alongside his girlfriend Natalie Cutchins winning Prom Queen.

Powers has big plans for his departure from high school; he plans on going to Brightpoint for two years for business, and then transferring to finish off his business degree. With this degree, he wants to pursue his passion for fashion and seek a career within the industry. Powers plans to create a clothing company producing commissioned clothing.
“I plan on working in management early on in my career, as I pursue my hobby of fashion design, owning a company, creating commissioned clothing, allowing my company to grow before releasing my first collection,” Powers said.
As Powers leaves Clover Hill, his remarkable skills defined him as a student worthy of recognition; from lacrosse to fashion, he has made an everlasting impact that will continue on in college.
Powers leaves his final message on how he wants people to remember him as truthful and respectful.
“I wish to be remembered as someone who treated everyone with respect, as well as a leader and someone who stayed true to themselves throughout high school,” Powers said.
