Last Saturday on March 7th, the Clover Hill High School debate team had an impressive performance at the 5c Regional tournament, placing first place. Competing against many schools across the region, Clover Hill dominated its competition. Clover Hills team won six total individual awards, showing its impressive strength amongst all categories.
In the Lincoln Douglas debate, Clover Hill exceeded its competition with Drew Haskin earning first place and Jax Bulbrook earning second place, giving the team two top positions in the category.
The Public Forum debate saw more Clover Hill success, with Jasmine Franco and Lily Schofield placing second, further expressing the team’s strengths.
Then in Student Congress, Clover hill debaters continued this success with Shani Gogineni placing 3rd beside Lydia Joh who placed 4th, adding the final two individual awards to the team’s hardware.
After the teams phenomenal performance, the Clover Hill high school debate team will move forward to compete at the Super Regional at Deep Run high school on March 21st.
