Thursday – See Testing Bell Schedule.  Theatre on the Hill presents Mary Poppins at 7:00 p.m.

Friday – See Testing Bell Schedule.  Math/Sci Senior Banquet at 6:00 p.m.,  Theatre on the Hill presents Mary Poppins at 7:00 p.m.

Saturday – Theatre on the Hill presents Mary Poppins at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

 

Spring SOLs begin this week: 

Testing will occur on a modified bell schedule each day (Wednesday, April 29 – Thursday, May 7). 

Testing Bell Schedule:

1st : 8:25 – 8:40 

2nd: 8:45 – 11:20 (Testing Block)

3rd: 11:25 – 1:20

4th: 1:25 – 3:05

 

End of Year Assembly Info Reminder:

Senior Awards – May 8 from  9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.  Parents may enter Door 11 at 8:30 a.m., but no parents are allowed before 8:30 a.m.  All Seniors will be called at 8:50 a.m.  There will be a sign-in table, and you will have to go through our weapons detection system (metal detectors), so please arrive early.  Parents of students receiving awards will be notified by THIS Friday.  Each award winner is allowed three guests, kids under 6 do not count.  

Underclass Awards – May 20, on Early Release/Grad Rehearsal Day (see below).  9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  Will we use the same arrival plan as above for parents, beginning at 8:30 am.  Students will be called to join us at 8:50 am. Parents of students receiving awards will be notified by May 15.  Each award winner is allowed two guests, kids under 6 do not count. 

 

End of Year Chromebook Returns:

All students will return their Chromebooks on their last day of school, even if they are going to summer school.  

Any Senior who has not turned their Chromebook in by May 20 must turn it in before rehearsal to receive their graduation ticket packet, including their parking pass.  

 

May 20 is a BIG Day!

-Underclass Awards @ 9 a.m.

-Senior CB Return @ 11:00 a.m.  When you turn in your Chromebook on your final day of school, either after final exam or before Gradation Rehearsal on May 20, you will receive a receipt to provide to us to receive your graduation tickets.

-Underclass Release @ Noon.

-Graduation Rehearsal (MANDATORY) @ 12:30 p.m.

-Senior Picnic @ 2:30/3 p.m (as soon as we complete rehearsal).

***Seniors will receive their GRADUATION PACKET, including tickets and a parking pass, after rehearsal, before they leave the Senior Picnic.  Students must have turned in their Chromebook to receive their Graduation Packet.

Sports Physicals:

It’s the time to be prepare for next school year. VCU Health Sports Medicine is hosting physicals at Clover Hill on May 11th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. 

 

Senior Corner

Senior EXAM EXEMPTION APPEAL FORM – to be completed for appeal of absences for exam exemption. Appeal form MUST be signed off on by classroom educator before being submitted to the main office for Mr. Altizer to review and approve/decline. Mr. Altizer will not review until the educator has signed off first. Appeals may be submitted starting on May 4. Please reach out with questions.

 

Graduation Tickets: 

  • More info at the end of April. Graduates, expect to receive 6-8 tickets originally, and then you can request additional as needed.

 

Elementary Senior Walk:

Clover Hill ES: May 8 at 2 p.m., arrival at 1:30 p.m.

Jacobs Road ES: May 15 at 2 p.m, arrival at 1:30 p.m.

Swift Creek ES: May 15 at 3 p.m, arrival at 2:30 p.m.

Evergreen ES: May 19 at 10:45 a.m., arrival at 10:30 a.m.

Senior Library Reminder:  

All senior library accounts must be cleared by THIS Friday, May 1. This includes returning all books and paying for any lost or damaged items (there are no late fines for overdue books) or printing charges.  By Wednesday, April 29, seniors will receive a printout (in 1st period) of any outstanding books or balances. Books can be returned, and payments (cash or check only) can be made in the library. If a student’s account is not cleared by Friday, May 8, the library will contact home.  Students are encouraged to stop by the library with any questions.
