Clover Hill High School Athletes put time and effort into achieving impressive grades and performing well for their sports teams.
Balancing athletics and school can be a challenge for students, but if they manage their time well, they can excel in school and sports.
Senior Andrew Morin focuses on taking advantage of his free time to complete any homework or out of school studying.
“It’s about getting my work done during school and taking advantage of the time I have in school so that I can play my sport outside of school,” Morin said.
If students spend their time wisely doing their work in school, they can also have fun spending time doing extracurriculars.
“I help out a lot with math and volunteer a lot. I also still watch sports and do stuff that I enjoy,” Morin said.
Senior Chase Nelson organizes his day so that he has time to finish all studying and school work after his practice.
“I have good time management so days after practice, especially with this new head coach, I get to space out my time, like, shower, eat, and then do school work,” Nelson said.
When struggling with mental health, students always need someone to go to. This can be a teacher, parent, or even another student at the school.
“Sometimes I can go to the current head coach, Coach Hutchings, and he tells me stuff that he has been through to help calm me down,” Nelson said.
Students at Clover Hill have figured out ways to be the best player and student they can be. Setting goals, having others by your side to help you, and keeping yourself motivated helps them continue to reach their goals.

I think most people don’t realize, is that at clover hill we have some of the most hard working student athletes. But we have some things to work on, we need to make a great change in classroom and sports. Grades are the most important for an Athlete if you don’t have the grades you cant play the sport. Time management for an athlete is key they must balance school and sports but it should always be school over sports.

What most people don’t realize, how much pressure there is on Clover Hill athletes. Since I will admit we have somethings to work on there are always eyes on us looking to make the change we need to be great in the classroom and on the field or court. Grades should be the most important thing to an athlete without good grades they don’t play. Time management is a key player in an athlete’s time they must be able to balance sports and school but when it comes to it school should be chosen over sports.

In Clover Hill High School, the hardest working people are on the sports team. I believe it because from what the articles say a guy named “Andrew Morin” said that he likes to get his work over with instead of procrastinating. and he’s right about that, I want to strive to be like that one day because all I do is procrastinate. But I feel like the majority of this school are probably lazy and average. Since kids in the school don’t have to get straight A’s or B’s they will do the bare minimum in order to pass.
